Praia Formosa is a sea-side residential area on the extreme west
of Funchal, on the road to Câmara de Lobos. The sea-front
promenade that extends across from Praia Formosa to the Lido area
has provided an enviable attraction for sea-side walks. It has
a number of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and is a short
drive away from the new 'Forum Madeira' shopping complex and other
shopping and services, which are all available in abundance, including
supermarkets, restaurants, and all other commodities. Public transport
and other services are excellent.
Access into Funchal is very good (less than 10min), as well as to
all areas outside of the city on the motorway,
via an on/off ramp less than 15 minutes' drive
away. Airport (25 min), Palheiro Golf Course (20 min), Santo da
Serra Golf Course (40 min).
